One of the most important limitations of the iPhone operating system, IOS, is the inability to send files via Bluetooth to other devices. While in the past did not allow the Apple App Store approval of dedicated applications to exchange data via Bluetooth, now the company has eased its policy of approval allowing multiple developers to release software for transferring images from iPhone to iPhone. However, not all types of files can be sent by these applications, but generally only photos. Thanks to iFile however, a program which can be downloaded via Cydia, you can send any type of document and other files to iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. Let's see how!
As stated above, data transfer via Bluetooth offered by iFile includes virtually every file, folder and file in this directory system of the iPhone. But even in this case, not being a real iFile program for sending and receiving files via Bluetooth, there is a limitation: the operation of this software is in fact limited to devices IOS. This means that, for example, you can send an audio file you have on your iPhone only to another iPhone or iPod touch / iPad.
Let's see how!
Help: send files via Bluetooth with iFile
First, after you have downloaded and installed from Cydia, open iFile. Posizioniamoci then in the path where is located the files you want to send (in case you do not know where it is located you can use the integrated search bar in iFile) and click on "Edit" button in the upper right. At this point, editing mode, click on the file you want to send to the device and press on the last icon in the status bar at the bottom of IFIL, the one bearing the classic logo of Bluetooth.
This starts the search for new devices iOS nearby that have enabled the Bluetooth when you have found the device to which to send the file in question (in our case an iPad) we must ensure that iFile is open and running on this device.
At this point we have to click on the name of the device (in our case iPad 3G - iPadItalia) from the device by which we intend to send the file via Bluetooth and confirm dall'apposito pop ups that appear on the iPad. You will not need to enter a security code, the transfer will be effective immediately.
Now both devices will receive a "cake" that will show the item title and progress of the transfer, after which the file can be viewed and left open the receiving device without any problem, simply by tapping on its name. Where, as in the example we have shown, the file would be a picture or a photograph, it can then be imported into the application images in the camera roll.
All files sent via Bluetooth through iFile will be saved in the path / var / mobile / Documents and they can then be exported to your computer or simply viewed from the device. Of course, thanks to the various features offered by iFile, we can for example create a folder or file. Zip to collect all documents sent via Bluetooth, move them to other directories, rename, and much more.
A really simple way to exchange files via Bluetooth between iPhone, iPod touch and iPad with their friends, relatives and colleagues, whether they be simple images or important system folders.
